Cody turned 3 two weeks ago and we are finally finished with birthday parties. He got so many presents it is unreal. He has definitely become a pro at opening presents. I don't even know if he looked at one before moving on to the next one. I think we are going to have to add onto the house to fit all the presents. He had so much fun this year and was excited for his friends to come to his party. We had 2 parties. One at home for family on his birthday and one at Jump and Jive with all of his friends. He definitely partied it up.

Prayers Needed!
Hey everyone,
Just wanted to keep you updated on what is going here in our family. Jimmy's dad has been sick for a week or so and we have been trying to find out what is going on. Yesterday he had a biopsy of a lymph node on his neck. The preliminary report of the biopsy is lymphoma. We are waiting on advanced testing to find out the exact type of lymphoma and what type of treatment it will require. Keep us and Jimmy's family in your prayers. I will update when I know something.

Whew! The holidays are over!
The holidays are finally over. We had an extended holiday season this year. All of Jimmy's brothers and sisters came in to Louisiana at the end of December and just left this morning, so it has been non-stop celebration. We all enjoyed visiting with them because we don't see them very often. Cody especially enjoyed playing with his cousins Emma and Mikey. Now life has to get back to normal, whatever that is.
One of my new year's resolutions is to keep up this website. I plan on updating the site often to keep all of our family and friends up to date on what is going on here. I posted a few updates on things that have happened over the past few months.
I hope everyone had a great holiday and hope you keep in touch.
It's Christmas!
We had a wonderful Christmas day. Santa was very good to Cody, as were his grandparents. He got more toys than we know what to do with. I think we may have to add onto the house to make room for them all. He was so excited that Santa brought him his Spiderman scooter. He rode around all day in his Spiderman costume. We had a great dinner with both our families. We couldn't have asked for better.
We are trying to teach Cody about the meaning of Christmas and how it is Jesus' birthday, but I'm not sure how far that is going. We sang Happy Birthday to Jesus and had a birthday cake, but I think Santa won that day. Maybe next year!
This year was very different from last year. We could hardly get Cody to open presents last year, but this year he ripped through them. When he finished opening his presents, he moved on to whatever present was closest, no matter whose it was. He opened a few before people were ready - Sorry!
Santa!
Halloween!
This year halloween was so much fun! cody was very excited to go trick or treating. I have now vowed not to buy halloween costumes anymore though. Last year we bought a cute Lightning McQueen costume and he ended up wearing an LSU baseball uniform. This year we bought a cute Thomas the Train costume and ended up with a dinosaur. We started the day with a party at his school where he dressed up. He was so excited to sit next to his "buddy" Addy at his party.

After school, we went to our neighbors Ben and Ashley's house for a pre-trick or treat party. We played and ate and then all loaded up on a hay ride to go around the neighborhood. Cody still hasn't quite mastered the art of saying trick or treat and waiting for the person to give him the candy. He did say trick or treat, but then he grabbed what he wanted and ran Although he has come a long way from last year where all he said was "more candy". Maybe he'll really get it next year.
Thomas the Train
If you didn't know already, Cody is a little interested in Thomas the Train. In October, Mom and I took Cody, his cousin Amelie, and our friends Tara and Brock to Texas to see Thomas the Train. We rode on a real Thomas the Train and sang many of the Thomas songs. They had lots of activities for the kids to do there, such as jumpers, tatoos, storytelling, a petting zoo, and of course playing with trains. I think the favorite activity of the day though, was riding on Thomas. Cody was so pumped up, I don't think the smile ever left his face!
